Official Apple IPSW Links for iOS 10 beta 2

Don’t register your UDID! It’s not required in any way!

Xcode 8 beta on a Mac is required to install these on your device, or else you will get error 14 and a device stuck in recovery mode. No Mac?

Good news! Apple finally loosened the security on the IPSW files for iOS 10 beta 2. No more developer login required (public beta soon?), and no more mirrors!

Here are the IPSW files for iOS 10 beta 2 (build 14A5297c, released Jul 5, 2016). Please enjoy and read the FAQ at the bottom if you need help. As always, make a backup first, just in case anything goes wrong. I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your device or data as a result of incorrectly installing these files.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install this?
It’s pretty simple. To install, download the corresponding file for your device, open iTunes on your computer, and plug in your device. After you have done this, go to your device in iTunes. Depending on whether you want to restore your device (start fresh or restore a backup onto the device) or update your device (just update you while keeping your apps and documents) you click a different button. To restore your device to iOS 10, click Restore while holding down Shift (Windows) or the Option key (OS X/macOS). For updating your device, to the same except with the Check for Update button. This will bring up a dialog where you can select the downloaded IPSW file. Your device will update to iOS 10 now. Enjoy!
Why are some IPSWs for multiple devices?
I don’t know, that’s what Apple did this time around, grouped them by feature set. Easier for me (less copying and pasting), I guess.
There are multiple occurrences of my device in your list, which one is it?
If I specified model numbers for your device, you can check your device. Use the guides at Apple support to identify which device model you have (iPhone / iPod touch / iPad).
What if I download the wrong file?
iTunes will stop the process if it detects that you have the wrong file for your device. The only thing it will cost you is another download, so please read carefully.
Where did you get these URLs?
From the Apple Developer Center.
How do I know these are real?
These URLs have “apple.com” in the URL. “appldnld” is subdomain that iTunes downloads its IPSWs from to update devices. Also, if they weren't, iTunes would refuse to install them.

How can I thank you?
GIVE GOLD!!! Just joking, unless you want to :). Seriously though, I did it for Apple enthusiasts who just cannot afford the Apple Developer Program or wait for the Public Beta to come out. A nice comment is enough to thank me for my work :)
Why doesn't the link work?
It should. Leave me a comment or PM me and I'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
I love you
Not a question, but thanks.
Anyways, thank you for reading my post and enjoy iOS 10 on your device ;)
